Scaling Compliance with the Business: Building Programmes that Support Growth
Thursday, 26 Feb.
14:15 - 15:15 GMT
Intermediate level
As companies grow, their compliance obligations inevitably expand. New products, markets and business models bring additional regulatory regimes into scope, making the job of internal legal and compliance functions increasingly complex. Approaches that worked when the business was smaller often struggle to keep pace.
This session focuses on compliance at scale: how in-house teams can build and guide the evolution of compliance initiatives that will continue to work as complexity increases. Drawing on the practical experience of in-house privacy lawyers, the panel will explore how to move from reactive, case-by-case advice to structured, scalable approaches that support the business without losing sight of regulatory risk.
What you will learn:
- How to design compliance processes for growth.
- An understanding of common issues encountered when scaling compliance processes.
- How to rank risk, decide what to consolidate versus delegate, build repeatable processes and playbooks, and measure whether an initiative is working in practice.
