California had a busy 2025. On the legislative side, numerous privacy-focused bills were adopted with many others waiting for resolution in 2026. Enforcement ramped up by the attorney general and the California Privacy Protection Agency, with record settlements underline the importance of complying with consumer requests, while also having the DROP system coming online. All these changes make keeping up with the state a hard task as all pieces are moving quickly.

This webinar will provide insights by experts within the state. They will explain in detail the changes introduced by these new laws, while highlighting the most important takes from the enforcement actions and settlements. Additionally, they will put the spotlight on other activities that might be relevant moving forward in California as it continues to lead the nation in the regulation and enforcement of privacy. This discussion will provide practitioners and policymakers with an understanding of the everchanging state of privacy in California.
