The EU institutions develop legislation relevant to digital governance as part of their mandate. To better understand the entities involved in the making of the EU's digital rulebook, this chart provides an overview of the institutions, their roles, their specific areas of responsibility, and their current leadership. It also outlines some regulatory bodies, both at national and EU levels, that are responsible for the supervision and enforcement of these rules. This organigram will be updated regularly to reflect significant changes. This resource is designed to complement the US Institutions Privacy Stakeholder Map and the EU AI Act Stakeholder Map.
